    Busy busy busy

Man alive, have we been busy lately!  Saturday Anna had soccer practice, then a birthday party, then we had a community picnic.  Sunday was church, cleaning, soccer, then ILs house.  Monday was errands, dentist, more errands, lunch prep (for Anna's lunches).  Yesterday was art class for Molly, trip to the store to get decorations, putting up said decorations, making pie, dinner, meeting about our county's preparation for the flu, then MNO. Today is farmer's market, dentist, trip to Megan's house to see Nonnie, dinner, choir for Anna at church.  Tomorrow is gymnastics and playgroup. Friday is back to school picnic at Anna's school, visit with a friend, then babysitting.  Agh!  It's just this one week that feels so crazy, but man!  It needs to be done already.  Hopefully it will slow down a bit soon as we settle into a routine.  If it continues though, I'm definitely only signing Molly up for one class in the next session. It's hard to tie up two mornings a week.

So the decorations I mentioned above - Anna's old school did a thing with the kids to challenge them to read 1000 pages over the summer. We knew she wouldn't be going back there in the fall, but we encouraged her to do it anyway, thinking that her new school maybe would do something similar and then she could participate in the reward.  Turned out that they didn't, and she read over 1000 pages, so we had a little party for her.  I got some streamers and balloons, she got to pick dinner and dessert, and we got her a small present. She loved it, and it served the purpose of reinforcing to her that reading is important and she did a good job.  I'm thinking the decorations will stay up for awhile - she really likes them.

OK, I have to go brush Molly's teeth and then we're off to the dentist.  Let the craziness continue!

Well, we miss you at our church! And Ben misses Anna in Sunday School. But I am very glad you have found a church that you like. SO IMPORTANT!

That's craziness, Claire! I didn't realize you were going to church. (Not that I'm trying to say anything by that, just didn't realize it.) Where do you go? One of these days I'll need to get our butts back to church, too. We've been horrible.
